iNew really managed to create an insanely popular phone with its V3 which managed to kick Xiaocai from its throne. Even other Chinese manufacturers have started to announce copies of the iNew V3 for quite a while now. And now there is another manufacturer trying to take a ride on this success story.
The Elephone P10 is a complete copy of the iNew V3, at least at the first look. However it features some differences, including some pros and cons. The most obvious changes have happened to the rear of the phone. The camera and the speaker opening is looking completely different from the original iNew V3.
The Elephone P10 also provides some changes under the hood. While the processor is the same (MT6582) with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, the screen has been changed to a 960 x 540 one – still a 5-incher. Now while this seems like a step downwards – and it really is – Elephone tries to make up for that by installing Android 4.4 KitKat on the phone, building a 8 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash inside it and providing it for a low price of $130.
Now this is probably not an interesting package for the vast majority, but those of you who really care about having Android 4.4 KitKat on their low cost phone might have a closer look at the Elephone P10. It is not out yet but will soon be released.
